About Me

My name is Janet, an unorthodox digital product designer.

With a BA degree in English literature, I worked as an International Sales for 8 years, dealing with clients from across the globe except the Antarctica, before realizing the only sense of accomplishment I got from the job was when I designed a perfect Excel sheet to calculate my orders.

So even when I joined a software company as a translator, I couldn't be content either. I couldn't help but notice all the little nagging problems, from inconsistent wording on the UI to problematic user flows. I volunteered to rewrite the manuals when there's nothing helpful for users in them; I offered to help designing the product when we were short of hands. Gradually, I ended up working as the UX designer / product owner, in charge of the planning, ideation and design process, working closely with other engineers & QA to build an industry-leading product for the past 4 years.

To me, design is about problem-solving, and I enjoy the process of turning concept into reality, crafting a practical solution while making it aesthetically pleasing. I thrive on challenges and always keen to try something new.
